The Piedmont Carpenters for Christ group is in its eighth year of existence, and is a growth out of another local group that some of our men have been associated with since 1981. Even though this organization is based in Piedmont, Alabama, there are members of the group from six different states and 25 different churches. During the week-long trip in June 2009 there were 100 plus men on the job site (click here to see photos from this trip).
The purpose of Carpenters for Christ is two-fold, first as a tool to help strengthen men in their Christian walk by ministering to the needs of others and by living and working in close association with other Christian men for a week. The second purpose is to help other believers in their quest to serve their community for the cause of Christ by helping in their construction of new church buildings.
