Pastor - Philip Cooper

Philip loves spending time with his family. He has a passion for preaching and teaching God’s Word. His hobbies include camping, hunting, playing golf, fishing and reading.

Philip and his wife, Tina, have two daughters and one son. Emily Cooper Derrick lives in New Albany, Mississippi with her husband Jason and their two children, Jacob and Sam. Will and Brittany Cooper live in Brandon, Mississippi. Their youngest daughter, Hannah lives in Piedmont and is a sophomore at Jacksonville State University.

Philip was born in Memphis, Tennessee and grew up in New Albany, Mississippi. He is a graduate of Blue Mountain College (B.A., 1989), and Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div., 1996). Philip answered God’s calling to ministry in 1983 and served as pastor of churches in Mississippi before coming to FBC Piedmont in 2006.

Minister of Students and Education - Michael Ingram

Michael Ingram was born in San Antonio, TX. He grew up and has lived in Piedmont, AL for most of his life. He is a graduate of Jacksonville State University (B.A. 2002), and is currently a student at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Michael accepted the call to ministry in 1995. He has served as an interim and pulpit supply for numerous churches, running several revivals before coming to FBC Piedmont in 1999.

Michael and his wife, Brea, have been married since 1996. They have two sons, Grayson and Bryson. Both boys attend school in Piedmont and are active in many different sports.

Michael’s favorite time is the time that he spends with his family. Family vacations are the highlight of his year. Michael enjoys leading the Student Ministry and Educational Ministries at FBC Piedmont. He is active in all of his sons’ activities.

Minister of Music and Sr. Adults - Jamie Forester

Jamie joined the staff of FBC in May of 2009. Jamie comes to us from Jackson, Tennessee, where he served in bivocational ministry for thirteen years. He attended college at Pembroke State University in Pembroke, North Carolina and received his B.A. in Music and Religion from Union University in Jackson, Tennessee. Jamie started his theological studies at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary through the extension center at Union University and plans to continue his studies in the future.

Jamie is married to the former Ms.Tracey Booker who is also involved in many areas of our ministry here at FBC. Jamie and Tracey have a son named Will. Jamie’s hearts desire is to see God’s people come to know Him in an intimate way, serve Him with their whole hearts, glorify Him through true worship, and share the wonderful gift of grace with those who do not know our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
