Christmas Parade 2014

The Wisconsin-based atheist organization, the Freedom From Religion Foundation, took action that resulted in a change of the 2014 Christmas parade theme from "Keep Christ in Christmas" to "City of Piedmont Christmas Parade". But that didn't stop the citizens of Piedmont from keeping Christ as the central theme of the parade and of the Christmas season. Hundreds, or perhaps even thousands, in our community expressed their freedom of religion by entering floats in the parade or displaying signs along the parade route that proclaimed their belief that we should "Keep Christ in Christmas" and that "Jesus is the reason for the season".
