Michael Ingram, Lead Pastor
Michael Ingram was born in San Antonio, Tx. He grew up and has lived in Piedmont, Alabama for most of his life. He is a graduate of Jacksonville State University (B.A. 2002), and is currently a student at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Michael served as Minister to Students/Education at Piedmont FBC from January 2000 to November 2013. He was called as Lead Pastor on November 10, 2013.
Michael and his wife, Brea, have been married since 1996. They have two sons, Grayson and Bryson. Both boys attend Piedmont City Schools. Michael enjoys spending time with his family. Family vacations are the highlight of his year. He is actively involved in the Piedmont community and serves on the Piedmont City Schools Board of Education.
Joe Wingard, Music and Worship Pastor
Joe Wingard originally came from Birmingham, AL. He has served various churches in southwest Florida for almost 30 years but now he's back in sweet home Alabama. Joe graduated from Troy University and eventually went on to Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX, where he met his lovely wife Gayle. Joe and Gayle have three sons, Sterling, Chase, and Vaughn. Joe loves to lead the church in worship to God, likes to fish, exercise, and is a connoisseur of fine BBQ and smoked meats. Give him a call and take him to lunch sometime.
Holly Busby, Children's Director
Holly was raised in a Christian home and came to know Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She attended Grace Baptist Church in Oxford, AL while growing up, and during this time she learned what following Christ really meant. She attended the University of Montevallo and obtained a Bachelor of Music with a degree in Music Education. She has taught elementary education for 8 years, six being in Alabama and two being in Chicago, IL. Holly also has a heart for church planting and has been a part of starting and serving in two new church plants. Simple Church in Oxford, AL and then after hearing God’s call, she moved to Chicago, IL and began to help start another brand new church plant called Sow Chicago Community Church which is through the North American Mission Board (NAMB) and then began serving as their children’s minister. Holly has also traveled and served in various countries and cultures some including Uganda, Mongolia, Haiti, and the Tohono O’dham Indian Reservation in Southern Arizona. Holly believes that serving others and spreading the gospel is essential for children to understand at an early age, so she is really excited to be able to teach and work with the young children at PFBC!
Kevin Ward, Minister of Students
Kevin Ward is the husband of Kaylee and the dad of Knox and Lily Kate. He is the son of a Pastor, Lewis Ward, who left a legacy of faith and service in which Kevin intends to carry on. Kevin has served as the youth pastor at Piedmont First Methodist Church. He has also served in the jail ministry at the Cleburne County jail, holding services every Sunday with the inmates. Kevin has a heart for our community and a desire for God to move in our youth.
Kim Ivey, Preschool Director
Kim has lived in Piedmont most of her life. She is a graduate of Piedmont High School and New World College. She has been a preschool teacher at Piedmont FBC since 1998 and became our Preschool Director in 2005. She is a member of Piedmont First United Methodist Church and serves as their Children’s Director. Kim is married to David Ivey. They have one daughter, Allyson, who is a college student. She enjoys walking and spending time with family and friends. Kim also enjoys sharing God’s love with children.
Kathy Robinson, Financial Secretary
Kathy Robinson is a long-time resident of Calhoun County, making her home in Weaver. She attended Ayers State Technical College and has worked in the Bookkeeping and Office Management field for over thirty years. Kathy has a son, Joshua Paul, who lives in Alexandria with his wife Shanda and has three beautiful grandchildren; Shaylan, Rylan and Braylan. They are definitely, the apple of her eye.
Sandy Phillips, Secretary
Sandy has been a resident of Piedmont since 2005 and has been a member of First Baptist Church since 2008. She attended Oregon Bible College for 1 year, and Miami Jacobs Business College for one class, and has worked in varied fields since she was 16 years of age. The volunteer work at the Piedmont Benevolence Center in Piedmont is of upmost importance to her. Sandy has three daughters, Chandra, Hope and Amber, one son-in-law, Roderick, two grandchildren, Ellie and Layton. There is an adopted family, William, Jonicka, John and Jonathan. Besides her work in the church, her family is her life.
