The senior adults of First Baptist are committed to ministering to those around them.The Great Commission is both timeless and ageless. Many people think that there is some magical age at which one retires—even from Christian service. Generations of senior adults have a history of mobilizing to get the job done. Why would they stop just because they become older? If anything, becoming older is more of a reason to stay faithful to the mission - The Great Commission. Our senior adult ministry involves older adults in ministering to others, making disciples and growing believers. The following are some of the ongoing ministry opportunities and activities available for our senior adults:

Senior Adult Activities Schedule

*Choir Meeting Time: Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. in the Choir Room*

Schedule:

1st Tuesday - NO CHOIR PRACTICE
                      Sunshine Club meets at 11:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall

2nd Tuesday - CHOIR PRACTICE*
                        Piedmont Nursing Home - Sing at 1:30 p.m.
                        Meet in Lunchrooom area at 1:15 p.m.

3rd Tuesday - CHOIR PRACTICE*
                       Travel by church bus to Gadsden Regional Hospital
                                          (give out "goodie bags")
                       EAT in Gadsden afterward

4th Tuesday - CHOIR PRACTICE*
                       Cherokee Village Assisted Living
                       Travel by church bus to sing in Centre, AL at assisted living center
                       EAT in Centre or surrounding location after singing

If there is a 5th Tuesday (occurs 4 times per year):
5th Tuesday - CHOIR PRACTICE* and/or social event; Planned trip
